Ahmadinejad and his Terror Campaign Against US and Israel

On October 30, 2005, Headquarters for Commemoration of Martyrs of Global Islamic Movement plans to hold a ceremony in Tehran to honor volunteers for suicide bombing operations where government officials are going to attend, according to official Mehr news agency. Last year this event was held on a government property in Tehran where Brig. Gen. Salami, a confidant of Ahmadinejad and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Joint Chiefs of Staff Director of Operations, was the keynote speaker discussing "Suicide operations: A security and military strategy perspective."

On October 26, 2005, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for Israel to be "wiped off the face of the earth". Such aggressive pronouncement is truly alarming and indicates a renewed and escalated terror policy by Tehran. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said that the Iranian President's comments "just reconfirms what we have been saying about the regime in Iran. It underscores the concerns we have about Iran's nuclear operations".

On September 11, 2005, press reports from Iran indicated how closely the Revolutionary Guards followed our government's handling of Hurricane Katrina. In remarks that appeared on Ansar-e Hezbollah website on that day, a top official of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said the devastating hurricane had exposed America's vulnerabilities. "The mismanagement and the mishandling of the acute psychological problems brought about by Hurricane Katrina clearly showed that others can, at any given time, create a devastated war-zone in any part of the U.S.", Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri, the official spokesman of the IRGC, said. "If the U.S. attacks Iran, each of America's states will face a crisis the size of Katrina", he said, referring to the massive hurricane which hit the southern coast of the United States. "The smallest mistake by America in this regard will result in every single state in that country turning into a disaster zone".

On May 26, 2004, the issue of bringing resources through our boarder was discussed by a top official of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, who is currently "theoretician" in the office of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He said: "We have identified some 29 weak points for attacks in the U.S. and in the West, we intend to explode some 6,000 American atomic warheads, we have shared our intelligence with other guerilla groups and we shall utilize them as well. We have set up a department to cover England and we have had discussions regarding them; we have contacted the Mexicans and the Argentineans and will work with anyone who has an axe to grind with America." [National Review On Line, May 26, 2004]

April 14, 2006: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Tuesday announcement that Iran had successfully enriched nuclear fuel has evoked predictable reactions from the international community, but little unanimity on how to deal with the situation. Washington has warned Iran of "consequences" if it continued to defy the UN Security Council demand for freezing all nuclear activity by April 28. NYCA calls for rally to impose immediate sanctions on Tehran's terrorist regime.
